Optimal Performance Specialists, L.L.C., is a subsidiary of Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists, P.C. It was created to focus and educate individuals on topics related to sports fitness and injury prevention.

We provide services to many parents, coaches and athletes in the Jackson area. When it comes to athletics, Optimal Performance Specialists can help you become better at whatever you do. We can help you improve specific athletic skills, maximize training affects, enhance coaching techniques, and expand your knowledge of injury care and prevention. Whether you, your child, or your team want to become faster, quicker, or desire the ability to jump higher, OPS will help you build the skills needed to be competitive on the field or on the court.

We are proud providers of athletic training coverage to most of the area high schools and at Jackson Catholic Middle School. Our certified athletic trainers are there to make sure your children are safe while on the field.

Our Education and Experience

Athletic training is recognized as an allied health care profession by the American Medical Association. Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) have at least a bachelor's degree and have passed a national certifying exam. ATCs are educated and experienced in providing the following services to the physically active population.

ATCs are educated and experienced in providing:

  • Injury prevention
  • Immediate injury care
  • Injury assessment
  • Rehabilitation and conditioning
  • Education and counseling

The certified athletic trainer's main function is to keep individuals participating at a high functional level, whether in athletic, exercise, or work-related activities.
